Custom homes. No compromise.
The risk in bespoke building isn’t the design. It’s the gap between design and construction. That’s where budgets blow out and details disappear.

Homes shaped by how you live.
Bringing interior design and building design under one studio.
We believe the best homes begin with understanding, not architecture. Before we think about structure, we think about your mornings. The way light shifts through a room across the day. How your family gathers. What makes a space feel like it belongs to you.
That’s where design starts. And from there, we create homes that respond to the way you actually live, not the way a floor plan assumes you should.

Creating spaces that are beautiful in principle and buildable in practice.
Design built for reality

What sets Pacific Blue apart from other builders is where the design comes from. Every home we build starts with Studio Sora, our in-house design studio. Your build is never based on someone else's drawings or an external designer's interpretation. It's based on a design created within our own team, by people who understand both your vision and how to construct it.

Dream freely. We’ve already thought about the build.
Studio Sora doesn’t exist in isolation. We’re the dedicated design studio of Pacific Blue, which means every idea we explore already carries build knowledge, cost reality, and delivery confidence.

Cooroibah | Custom Home, Acreage
A family home shaped by a lifetime of memories, designed to support the next chapter through thoughtful, multi generational living.
After a previous negative building experience, our clients approached this project with care. Set on a significant acreage property tied closely to family history, this was always intended to be their forever home… and it needed to feel like it.

Brief & Site
The brief was both practical and deeply personal. A home that reflected who they are, while balancing connection, privacy, and independence across multiple generations.
Key priorities included a chef quality kitchen, an expansive main suite with a strong connection to the outdoors, private zones for children, and dedicated spaces for a home gym and theatre. Every main bedroom was to have its own bathroom, alongside a self-contained granny flat and a separate dwelling with a commercial grade kitchen. Even smaller details, like creating an indoor environment that felt outdoors for their cat, were carefully considered.
Positioned on a generous acreage site, privacy was abundant, but so was opportunity. The home needed to embrace natural light and views, while remaining protected from the street and harsh western sun. Large expanses of glazing were essential, but only where they could be controlled and purposeful.
Resolved Through:
The scale of the site allowed us to orient the home to fully capitalise on light, outlook, and privacy. Living, kitchen, main bedroom, and outdoor entertaining spaces are all positioned to enjoy expansive glazing without exposure.
Gable ceilings lift the main living and kitchen, drawing your eye through to the alfresco from the moment you enter. This outdoor space becomes a true extension of the home, complete with integrated cooking provisions.
At the centre, a wood burning fireplace anchors the internal living zone, positioned opposite the kitchen as a natural point of gathering. This experience is mirrored externally, where a second fireplace is paired with a fully equipped outdoor cooking area, including a pizza oven, barbecue, and sink.
The main suite was designed as a private retreat. A custom screening element separates the bedroom from the ensuite, where the bath and shower are oriented to take in uninterrupted views across the property. A generous walk in robe connects directly to the laundry, creating a highly functional, considered flow. The working zones of the home were equally resolved. The butler’s pantry links seamlessly to the main kitchen, while the laundry is positioned directly opposite the external commercial kitchen… supporting ease of use for both everyday living and larger scale entertaining.
For the children’s bedrooms, a two way bathroom was a deliberate decision. This allowed for a more generous, high quality shared space, rather than compromising across multiple smaller bathrooms. The guest bedroom maintains easy access to the main bathroom, ensuring flexibility.Externally, built form and wall placement were carefully considered to maintain privacy from the street while also protecting the home from harsh western sunlight.
